AW 19/20 fashion week saw the return of some make-up trend staples. Louis Vuitton, Paco Rabanne and Helmut Lang brought back the vastly popular matte red lips. Personally, I love this trend especially around autumn and winter, predominantly the graphic lip was paired with neutral skin leaving the lips to be the main attraction. My favourite look out of the three was from the Louis Vuitton show, the matte red lips were paired with a black graphic eyeliner revealing a very structured yet classic design.
Sultry, smokey eyes returned to fashion week with Tom Ford, Max Mara and Ellie Saab. The slight difference to the smokey eyes we have seen before is that the palette of them are all monotone to compliment the tones of the colours in the face. This made the designs much more understated and made the make-up look lived in.
Graphic eyes returned once again but with a new and improved twist to the designs. One that stands out to me is the Dior design. The clear Twiggy and sixties inspiration conveyed an experimental yet classic eye make-up design.
Overall, AW19/20 fashion week saw the return of some beloved make-up classics from the matte red lip, sultry, smokey eyes and graphic eyes. AW19/20 make-up trends I believe will be followed and adapted once again by the masses.
