ABOUT ME
Welcome! My name is Annabelle Barton, I am a creative direction graduate, designer, make-up artist, all-round lover of all things fashion. Here you will find examples of my work in the industry, the projects I have creative directed, in particular my Final Major Project 'Pint-Sized,' an online magazine. I am passionate about diversity in all areas of the fashion and beauty industries and have made purposeful imagery throughout my university career to ensure this is something I can bring into the professional workplace. I am always researching the latest beauty and fashion trends and relating this to my work, this enables me to forge my own opinion and experiment with them in different mediums. This website is a presentation of the work I have created recently. Enjoy!
My Perception of Beauty
When thinking about creating a fashion editorial about my perception of beauty I wanted it to have a meaningful story behind it. I was inspired by the story of a British ballerina that I had recently met at the time, she was explaining to me that the end outcome of her hard work always appears beautiful but the audience never sees the hard work and dedication that goes into each step she takes. This sparked an idea for me to explore the beauty in what is not necessarily perceived as beautiful, her failures, blood, sweat, and tears. Therefore, I created this editorial displaying these ideas, and this is what I believe is beautiful, her dedication to her passion.
